Melbourne Comedy Festival
We have had lots of enquiries asking if we are bringing 10 Comedians for $10 to Melbourne Comedy Festival this year.
Due to the costs involved, we won’t be performing as a group in Melbourne this year, but some of the best comedians who perform with us will be performing their own shows.
Try and catch these great comedians at this year’s festival:
Female Musical Comedian
Stephanie Broadbridge

“Learn the rules like a pro so you can break them like an artist.”
– Pablo Picasso
Stephanie Broadbridge is a rule-breaker.
You know that rule that women aren’t meant to be funny? Broken.
The rule that musical comedy isn’t funny? Broken.
Rules of engagement? The rules of basketball? The rule of thumb? Broken. Broken. Broken.
Just don’t expect that when you come and see Steph’s new stand-up comedy show at this year’s Melbourne Comedy Festival, that Steph won’t help you break a few rules of your own.
Steph’s show ‘Female Musical Comedian‘ is a show about hating hypocrites while also being one. Yeah she’s doing a theme and she has funny stuff to say.
And you know that rule that only safe, predictable comedy will entertain you? Come and see Steph at Sydney Comedy Festival 2020 and see what she does with that one.

No Sorry, You Go
Alex Jae

In her highly anticipated debut solo Melbourne International Comedy Festival show, Alex explores what life is like as an NA (‘non-assertive’; a phrase she has coined but you can totally use it if you want). Alex is known for her unique style and ability to surprise audiences – juxtaposing her bubbly girl-next-door appearance with a darker, hilarious edge. From dating to relationships, health kicks and being child-free by choice, Alex has an hour of jam packed laughs and stories for everyone except her mum.
After climbing the Sydney comedy ranks, Alex has worked as a writer and featured cast member on Channel 10’s Pilot Week and Saturday Night Rove, as a writer on Channel 10’s Show Me The Movie! and as a panelist on Celebrity Name Game, and has opened for comedians such as Wil Anderson, Greg Behrendt, Gareth Reynolds and Dave Anthony (‘The Dollop Podcast’).
When she’s not overthinking things, doing stand-up and working on the telly, Alex also co-hosts the hit podcast ‘The Ladies Guide to Dude Cinema’, where her and mate Bec Charlwood review the movies dudes can’t believe they haven’t seen. A podcast seeing movies through the eyes of two ladies (“The time for this podcast is now”), fan reviews call it “binge-worthy”, “reading my mind”, “super fun, funny and light hearted” and “this podcast has changed how I talk about movies with everyone”. And Alex totally reckons she totally agrees.

Whiz Bang
Cait Johnson

After a sell-out season at the Sydney Comedy Festival, Cait Johnson (BA LLB, Grad Dip Legal Practice, Work Health and Safety Cert IV) presents her debut Melbourne International Comedy Festival solo show!
Cait is a lawyer moonlighting as a comedian (the other way around for tax purposes). After leaving her Sydney lawyer life behind, becoming a regular on the Melbourne comedy scene and working as a writer on ABC’s Hard Quiz, she now presents a masterclass in how to choose a direction, commit to a goal and then change your mind.
The perfect show for the undecided, the faint of heart and weak of spirit, it’s Whiz Bang!
